Privacy Policy

CallMe ("we", "our", or "us") is built on a simple premise: your social life is yours. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it. We keep it short because there isn't much to say. We don't sell data, we don't run ads, and we don't track you across the internet.

1. What we collect

When you create an account and use CallMe, we collect:

• Account information: your name, email address, username, and optional profile photo.
• Phone number: optional. Only stored if you choose to add it so friends can call you. We never use it for marketing or share it with third parties.
• Availability data: when you mark yourself available or unavailable, and any schedule windows you set. This is the core of the app.
• Status messages: the "What's on your mind?" field you optionally fill in.
• Friends list: who you've connected with inside the app.
• Device push token: to send you notifications when friends become available. Stored securely and never used for anything else.
• Timezone: auto-detected from your device to show schedule times correctly. Never used for tracking.

We do not collect your contacts, location, browsing history, or any data from outside the app.

2. How we use your data

Everything we collect is used exclusively to operate the app:

• Show your friends when you're available to talk.
• Send you push notifications when people you care about go available.
• Match your schedule windows with friends' to surface good times to connect.
• Let friends call you when you're free (via your phone number, if you've added one).

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose outside of making CallMe work.

3. Who we share data with

We share data with the following service providers, solely to operate the app:

• Supabase: our database and authentication provider. Your data is stored in their infrastructure. Supabase Privacy Policy.
• Apple APNs: Apple's push notification service. Your device token is transmitted to Apple to deliver notifications.
• Resend: transactional email delivery (account confirmation, password reset). We send your email address to Resend only to deliver these messages.

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not share it with anyone else.

4. Data visibility within the app

CallMe is a social app, so some information is visible to people you've connected with:

• Your display name, username, and profile photo are visible to your friends.
• Your availability status and status message are visible to your friends (unless you mute them).
• Your schedule windows are visible to your friends for the purpose of finding overlap times.
• Your phone number is visible to friends who have your number added — it is never shown to strangers.
• Your email address is never visible to other users.

5. Data retention and deletion

You can delete your account at any time by emailing hello@justcallme.app. We will delete your profile, availability data, friends list, and all associated records within 30 days. Push tokens are deleted immediately on account deletion.

We do not retain backups of deleted accounts beyond our standard 30-day database backup window.

6. Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS. Passwords are never stored. We use Supabase's secure authentication which stores only a cryptographic hash. Push tokens and profile data are protected by row-level security policies that enforce that users can only access their own data and that of their accepted friends.

7. Children's privacy

CallMe is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at hello@justcallme.app and we will delete it promptly.

8. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above and notify users via email if the changes are significant. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
